HISTORIC: This double home is a well-known local landmark: designed in the late 19th century by Myron Hunt (architect of the Rose Bowl in Pasadena). Our charge was to combine both residences into a single home. Interiors were mostly gutted down to the framing. Work included complete interiors, finishes, stone and tile, woodwork, lighting, and custom cabinetry. The exterior underwent a full restoration. A geo-thermal system was installed. Stone stairways were added in the rear from the main level leading to new terraces and gardens. Garages and covered walkway to the house were new additions. This project received Evanston’s Historic Preservation Award.
